[Review] Oriflame Colour Drop Lipstick – Peach Sensation

Standard

Dear Loves,

Been a while since my last product writing… Back in this Thursday, I hope you all find your self happy and stay gorgeous.

In this post, I am gonna give you a review and swatches about my now favorite orangeish lipstick that has been in my purse lately. So please keep reading…

Oriflame Colour Drop Lipstick - Peach Sensation

Now’s review is coming from Oriflame’s Colour Drop Lipstick. The thing when I actually wanted to make sure giving it a shot is the product’s claim of having such a good hydration to your lips and more over the simple and quite little case eases you to make it as your on-the-go stuff. Pic below taken from here.

For the case it self, comes with a such nice berry color with a standard twisting way before you want to use the product. The actual shape of this lipstick imitates the contour of your lips so it makes you easier in applying the product. Pic below..

This lipstick has 6 variants of colors, they are Rose Elixir (26905), Peach Sensation (26906), Melting Pink (26907), Drop of Fuchsia (26908), Liquid Red (26909), Glossy Berry (26910). But since I was so badly wanting the orange color, I chose Peach Sensation. The color is very pretty and it turns out to be the sheer color and shiny and quiet hydrates your lips (because I do have dry lips and chapped easily). Swatch pic below:

..::Review::..

Well, actually I really like this lipstick because it gives me a good moisturizer, especially if you have a problem of easily-dried lips. In basic, you don’t need to pull your balm first under this lipstick. So this is the good stuff to be owned for summer time.

If you are looking for a natural finish or want to give a shot to your daily make up, I recommend this one to be at least the thing that you always have in your purse. The color that this lipstick gives really suitable for daily wears because this doesn’t give you an opaque or intense look since the pigmentation is a sheer color. Probably similar to the color lip balm, if I may say. So, don’t be afraid to try the bolder color since it still gives you a minimal sheer look lips.

When we are talking about staying power, like many other daily basis products, it does give you approximately 2 hours stay or 4 hours the longest, without drinking or eating. I didn’t expect much about this lipstick since I have bought it. Because I know that many Oriflame’s lipstick products are not really giving you a good pigmentation or good staying power over your lips.

Since I am a MAC NC 25-30 or a Medium to Tan skin tone, this is how the look of the lipstick on me. I assume that this lipstick may give you a different result for lighter/paler skin tone. On me, the color turns out to be pinkish coral one and not what I expected to be orangish instead. Bit of disappointing because so many lipglosses and lipsticks in my make up box and they are all PINK,,, but it’s still to be OK. Pic below..

As you can see from the above pics, the finish results look shiny for three of the pics. And the coverage seems sheer to medium one (I still can see my pigmented lips!). For me, it’s not really easy nor hard to build up the color into the opacity you desire. Because in my opinion, the more I layer is the more I feel heavier my lips to be. I do like the shiny and hydrates feel lips, but I don’t like if it has to be heavy just to build the color up. Well as I said earlier that this lipstick is suitable for daily use, for minimum make up.

For the scent, this lipstick has a scent of fruity floral thing but I am not really sure, for additional, it isn’t really strong, though. I basically don’t mind for a natural scent that any products could ever give, only if it has to be a chemical product scents, I can’t stand my self. But if you think that scented products is a problem for you, well make sure you are ready body and mind before picking up this one. Hehe.
